Arboretum View Animal Hospital is a 24-hour specialty referral hospital. We moved into our 14,000 square-foot facility in 2002. Our current specialty departments include Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Rehabilitation/Integrative Medicine, and Dermatology. We are also actively recruiting for specialists in other departments, including Cardiology and Neurology. We have a fully equipped ICU, as well as Eklin digital radiography, ultrasound, CT, and an underwater treadmill.

We have a great opportunity in our radiology department. We have a Phillips CT, which we are looking to replace, but are awaiting the arrival of a radiologist to guide the purchasing decision. A Phillips C-arm allows for fluoroscopy guided procedures. Our hospital is equipped with a nuclear medicine department and trained staff; this includes a gamma camera scanner as well as licensing for I-131 treatment.

In January 2008, Arboretum View Animal Hospital joined the BrightHeart Veterinary Centers network of specialty and emergency hospitals. Arboretum View Animal Hospital and the other hospitals in the BrightHeart network, under the direction of Dr. Philip J. Bergman, Chief Medical Officer, have worked together to raise the standard of veterinary care in our area. The BrightHeart network is comprised of a group of hospitals that has and will continue to practice state-of-the-art medicine, perform research and clinical trials, and move veterinary medicine forward in ways we have yet to imagine. We are changing the way that corporate veterinary medicine is seen.

Our staff of specialty, emergency and general practice veterinarians and technicians includes some of the most dedicated, compassionate and talented people in our profession. We have an exceptional, hardworking, and upbeat culture. A strong base of referring veterinarians helps us to accomplish our goal of providing the best patient care possible. We are in a fairly affluent area, so our clients often allow us to provide the recommended care to treat their pet and practice the highest quality medicine. We have highly skilled staff members assigned to each doctor, because we know how important this is to the success of a practice.
