Greater Birmingham Humane Society is seeking to fill a position for a part time Shelter Veterinarian that would be responsible for the following:
Perform spays and neuter surgery Monday thru Friday
Provide detail examination for pets that will be up for adoption at the GBHS
Respond to GBHS staff and affiliates for guidance in any area of the veterinary profession with answers and/or directions.
Provide for any emergencies that is associated with GBHS throughout the scheduled week and weekend.
Able to perform daily travel to at least 2 to 3 locations of the GHBS group for pet examinations and treatments.
Meeting attendance when scheduled.
Assist the Chief of Veterinary Medicine in mentoring 4th year veterinarian students in veterinary surgery and medicine.
Perform various duties at the discretion of the Chief of Veterinary Medicine
