The Department of Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University, invites applications for a Clinical/Tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor position in Livestock Services Field Service. Applicants must hold a DVM or an equivalent degree. Advanced clinical training, advanced academic degree, and/or specialty status in a relevant discipline is preferred and required for a tenure track position. The successful candidate will join a livestock services section that includes two board certified large animal internal medicine specialists, one internal medicine resident, two interns and two veterinary technicians. We seek an individual who is enthusiastic about house officer and student training and who is looking for a unique opportunity to become an integral member of a strong livestock services team.

Kansas State University has a robust local food and fiber animal ambulatory practice providing primary and emergency care for a wide variety of food animal species in the Kansas Flint Hills. Services are provided for cow-calf, feedlot, small ruminant and camelid producers, with cow calf operations being the vast majority of the practice. The service works closely with KSU animal science units for service as well as research collaboration. The successful candidate will be expected to provide routine and emergency care as well as herd health consultation services. Teaching activities will include didactic lectures, laboratories, continuing education programs and instruction of interns, residents and 4th year veterinary students on clinical rotations.
