We enjoy providing excellent care to small animals, mostly canine and feline, focusing on well care and strong client/patient relationships. Free-standing building with 3 exam rooms, treatment area, multiple wards (recovery, canine, feline and isolation), surgical suite (and additional room for expansion later)
AAFP certified Cat Friendly Practice
In house laboratory capabilities using IDEXX, including the Sedivue
Digital dental radiography using the Midmark system
IM3 dental ultrasonic scaler and high speed drill
Isoflurane and Sevoflurane gas anesthesia with monitoring equipment including pulse oximetry, blood pressure, ECG, temperature, ETCO2, heart and respiration rate
Digital Radiography, Ultrasound, and Laser Therapy capability
All emergencies after 6 pm on weekdays and 12 pm on Saturdays are referred to the local emergency hospital

Animal Medical is a privately-owned and well-established but growing small animal hospital in the heart of Chesapeake. We are fully equipped with digital radiology, dental x-ray, surgical suite, visiting specialists, in-house ultrasound and therapeutic laser.
We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic veterinarian with excellent communication skills and who is comfortable with routine surgeries. Special interests will be encouraged and supported, but not required. New graduates encouraged to apply. Present a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and to the general public
Licensure in good standing to practice in Virginia
