The Veterinary Specialty Hospital of the Carolinas (VSH) is a progressive referral center providing emergency and specialty care for the thriving Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina. We are searching for a fifth internist to join our existing internal medicine team. Specialties represented at VSH include:
We are committed to expert, timely, collaborative, and compassionate care provided in a supportive and friendly working environment. VSH consists of three facilities within proximity and a combined medical and administrative staff of nearly 200 employees. Three radiologists support the other specialty services with on-site ultrasound, CT, and MRI. Antech staffs a laboratory with four on-site clinical pathologists at our main location.
The internal medicine service at VSH is comprehensive and possesses the staff, equipment, and facilities to allow prompt diagnosis and treatment. Our four current internists are active participants in our internship program as well as journal club and referring veterinarian outreach. Case discussion and collaboration is commonplace and encouraged. We have a highly skilled and medically knowledgeable team of internal medicine nurses dedicated to supporting our service.
Equipment: Our internal medicine service is well equipped with towers and a variety of scopes at all three hospitals to perform GI endoscopy, bronchoscopy, rhinoscopy, and cystoscopy. We have a 64 slice CT and a 1.5T MRI at our main location.
