About the Job: As Veterinary Technician/Assistant at AMSC you will be responsible for:
Providing excellent customer service at all times.
Admitting patients and managing clients throughout their visit.
Partnering with the DVM's to provide excellent medical care by way of assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
Obtaining and processing laboratory samples such as blood, urine, and free fluid.
Upholding an accurate and efficient digital medical record of all patient care, and entering the information in the medical records in a timely manner.
Monitoring and recovering all assigned sedation and anesthetic events.

The candidate will possess the following:
Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting as a Veterinary Technician/Assistant required.
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills that enable them to develop and foster long term positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community.
Strong computer skills to work with a paperless information system.
Excellent typing & keyboarding skills required with a high degree of accuracy.
The ability to work with the DVM’s in the exam room and types all necessary medical information quickly & efficiently.
Knowledge of heartworm preventatives, flea/tick preventatives and the importance of these recommendations.
The ability to confidently educate clients.
Work well independently and in a team environment where colleagues lead by example and hold themselves accountable for quality medicine and customer service.
Flexible, cooperative, dependable, responsible, and good time-management skills to work in a fast-pace environment.
