Licensed veterinary technician or assistant with strong skills and a minimum of 2 years clinical experience, needed for a position in our busy 5-doctor small animal practice. Olney-Sandy Spring Veterinary Hospital is a progressive, AAHA-accredited hospital where technicians are utilized to their fullest potential in the areas of surgical assistance, anesthetic monitoring, dentistry, radiology, laboratory, therapy laser, oncology, nursing care and client education. This is NOT an entry level position.
Must have experience in phlebotomy, catheter placement, dentistry, radiology, surgical preparation, anesthesia, pharmacy, ultrasound guided cystocentisis, monitoring and recovery. Must also have excellent client education and ability to prioritize. Must have flexibility to work days, nights and weekends as needed - as well as the ability to provide 38-45 hours per week. Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Eligible candidates must be available weekday evenings and Saturdays, and MUST have experience in a small animal hospital. Benefits include health insurance, vacation, paid CE and 401K.
