BluePearl Veterinary Partners is looking for an experienced and dedicated leader in the veterinary industry to join our family as a Regional Vice President, Operations (RVPO) for our West region.
Our West Region includes hospital locations in Washington, California, Utah, Nevada, and Arizona.
The RVPO directs and grows the business within the West region with revenues of $150MM or greater through effective leadership and management of all operational aspects of our hospitals including financial performance, quality of care, and client experience. This role partners closely with the West region's Regional Vice President, Medicine to optimize business performance and the clinical culture.
In this role, you will:
Serve as high-level representative and champion of BluePearl's mission and vision in all interactions.
Be responsible for profit and loss management of hospitals within the West region to ensure optimal performance of facility operations to achieve or exceed budgets and key performance indicators.
Practice cost containment strategies, maintaining profitability and growth while ensuring compliance with applicable organizational and regulatory requirements.
Assist senior leadership with the development, implementation, and management of organizational initiatives and strategies.
Interpret and implement organizational policies and procedures.
Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching for all direct reports to maintain an engaged and high-performing workforce.
Ensure the development of operational leaders in your region and create a pipeline of talent to support future organizational growth.
Ensure the provision of remarkable patient care while maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory and organization requirements and standards including OSHA, DEA, FDA and applicable state and local agencies.
Interact with all levels of the organization to manage the business.
Be accountable for associate engagement and retention. Work with hospital leaders to ensure they are attentive to the engagement level of associates. Take a proactive approach to influence and drive position hospital climate.
Maintain current knowledge regarding regional veterinary services market and industry issues which may impact the business.
Collaborate with Vet Relations Team to develop and implement a regional marketing plan to support growth and profitability.
Implement operational efficiency improvements which may include, but not limited to, the standardization of systems, quality control, safety, site selection, facility design and client satisfaction.
In partnership with P&O, responsible for hiring, training, development, appraisal and mentorship of direct reports; in partnership with RVPM, identifies successors for all hospital leadership roles and actively develops those associates; takes corrective action as necessary in accordance with company policy.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, Economics or similar discipline required. Graduate degree and/or relevant certifications preferred.
10+ years of job-specific experience in an organization of similar size, scope and/or complexity required. Prior experience in the veterinary or similar industry strongly preferred.
Experience must be inclusive of 7 years minimum of multi-site operational management.
