City Pets Animal Care is small animal practice in downtown Nashville. We are looking for a highly motivated associate (new or recent graduate welcome) to help us grow and expand. City Pets has the latest technology and equipment: ultrasound, Digitial Dental Radiography, Digital DR Full Body Radiography, Class IV Companion Cold Laser, Surgical Electrocautery, advanced surgical procedures and paperless medical records. We also practice Acupuncture with E-Stim and have a chiropractor we call in as needed. We utilize two mobile, board-certified Surgeons for in-house orthopedic cases (willing to mentor about surgeries) as well as a mobile, board-certified Radiologist and Internist for those cases that need a specialist for imaging, endoscopy, etc.
We value the approach that not all clients and patients are the same, and so not all treatments should be either. City Pets takes an innovative approach to pain management, anxiety and behavioral issues and we practice Fear Free medicine. What About Work-Life Balance?
City Pets operates 7:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday. WE ARE CLOSED WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS AND DO NOT TAKE AFTER-HOURS EMERGENCIES. You will NOT work weekends, holidays or after-hours. We do hospitalize some patients based on doctor's preference, but those cases can also be transferred to Blue Pearl for after-hours and weekend care if needed.
What We Want: City Pets is looking for a part time (2-3 days per week) OR full time (4-5 days per week) associate. New or recent graduates are welcome, too! We want an associate who is looking to learn and grow to stay up to date on the latest medical advancements. We are looking for an associate who values both patients and clients, works well with colleagues and protects the integrity of our profession. We have amazing veterinary nurses who work hard and support the success of our doctors, and it is crucial that our associate acknowledge the power of the teamwork we all bring to the table every day.
New or recent graduates must be hungry for mentorship, professional challenges, communication lessons and want to be the best doctor they can be. Our ideal candidate understands that relationships with clients fosters professional satisfaction and she/he wants to nurture those bonds. We want an associate to grow with us long term, and we want to a doctor we will be proud to promote to our community. Candidates interested in the business side of practice are encouraged to apply, as mentoring in practice ownership and leadership are available. Our owner holds an MBA in addition to a DVM and is an AVMA PAC Board member, DVM360 author and Fetch Conference Speaker.
