Hello! It has been quite a ride these last few months. While I wouldn't wish this pandemic or our terrible history of racism in this country on anybody, I'm hopeful that only good will come of these turbulent times. In March we laid off most of our staff and practiced bare bones with a tiny staff and emergencies only. By the end of May we've brought back most of our staff and are carefully seeing more and more patients - curbside only. We showed up for our community and they continue to show up for us. So, have a look at the ad we put up prior to the pandemic- and if it seems like we might be a good fit- please get in touch. Stay safe and be well!
At Brooklyn Roots our main goals are to practice really good medicine and surgery and to enjoy coming to work every day. Quality of life is IMPORTANT. And when the hospital staff is happy it translates to happy clients.
BRVH was built from the ground up by real people with combined decades of experience in the trenches. And, continues to be run by those same real people. This is important to mention in this day and age of corporate veterinary medicine - we are privately owned. The short of it is that we see a wide range of cases- from routine puppy and kitten care to big and interesting internal medicine and surgery cases. We have all the bells and whistles that you need, we offer a great compensation package (and solid mentorship if you are a newer grad). We are looking for a full-time associate and, are also willing to consider part-time. What we want most is a veterinarian whose capabilities and ideals are in alignment with ours, and who might be looking for a long term home. Newer grads as well as more experienced candidates are welcomed to apply.
Have a look at our website and our online reviews. If you are interested in learning more about us, please apply.
