Associate Small Animal Veterinarian in AAHA accredited hospital—Suffolk, VA
Suffolk Animal Hospital
Suffolk Animal Hospital is looking for an easy-going yet driven Associate Veterinarian that wants to make a difference in their community. We desire either a full or part-time Veterinarian (minimum 2 days/week) looking to care not only for pets but also their owners. The City of Suffolk continues to grow, and we have along with it. Our close knit, well-trained team is in search of a 3rd Veterinarian to lead and help them excel as employees. Our practice is in the unique situation of being able to fulfill the needs of a variety of clients as well as a variety of pets. We offer full service boarding, grooming and veterinary care to both cats and dogs, but we would love to add on exotic services if you desire. We work closely with both the local shelters and rescues to provide necessary, lifesaving services, as well as servicing our own clientele while upholding AAHA’s standards of excellence. Our clinic excels in versatility, adaptability and willingness to go the extra mile. We look for innovative solutions to client restrictions such as being the only clinic in Suffolk to offer Wellness Plans. The local community holds our clinic in high regard as we were voted “Local’s Choice- Best Veterinarian/Animal Hospital” for the last few years as well as being a "Neighborhood Favorite" on Nextdoor. We are seeking a 3rd veterinarian that is able to meet and exceed this precedence. While we offer a non-corporate setting, competitive pay, medical and membership benefits for our full-time associates, NO after-hours/emergency work requirement and possess an extensive network of up-to-date diagnostic equipment at your disposal, what we really have to offer is comradery, a challenging field of work and a support system you can rely on. Work-life balance is critical to us and we go out of our way for our employees to feel appreciated and rested. We can't wait to be able to get back into doing staff outings including everything from baseball & hockey games, mud runs, and wine & paint nights. We invite you to come experience our clinic-- shadow our primary veterinarian, Dr. Amber Carr, or allow us to pay you for your services as a relief veterinarian so that you can see what Suffolk Animal Hospital and our clinic culture is all about. We are patiently looking to find a Veterinarian that is not just available right now, but will be the right fit long-term. As this is a privately owned practice, ownership buy-in would also be available down the line. If this sounds appealing to you, you can reach out to us for more details at (757) 539-1385 or visit our website at www.suffolkanimalhospital.com **New graduates are encouraged to apply and we would love to mentor a new veterinarian as they get established in the field** Full-time Benefits include

Job requirements include the ability to maintain a composed and calm demeanor while working through examinations, routine surgeries, and client and staff interactions.
