We are looking for a Small animal or Mixed animal Veterinarian looking for an exciting and fast paced practice. We are a general mixed practice, with about 70-80% small animal and the rest a mixture of equine and livestock. We are looking for motivated Doctors who not only want to provide good medicine and help their patients and clients but want to continue to learn and expand their knowledge. We need doctors who want to be a part of a team and not only make themselves better but endeavor to help further advance our staff and client knowledge.
We offer a unique and diverse case load that will challenge and interest new grads and experienced Doctors alike. We provide mentorship to new graduates, but also believe in sharing the cases so we can work and learn together. Referral medicine, surgical and neuro specialty centers are a few hours away but not every client wants referral, and this presents a unique opportunity for out doctors to manage cases and help patients that can’t or won’t be referred. We see everything from Parvo and Distemper to IMHA and Ehrlichia. We are AAHA accredited, and we have the usual amenities: Portable ultrasound, Digital x-ray, Dental x-ray, inhouse lab.
We are in an underserved area for livestock veterinarians so for mixed animal doctors there are loan repayment option through the USDA. We have a facility for horses as well as livestock and the ability to travel to our patients if needed.
We offer an IRA with matching payments up to 3%, malpractice and liability insurance, Health insurance, AVMA dues, NMVMA dues, DEA, Continuing education stipend, Compensation depending on experience. We are open to discussing the preference for either Salary or ProSal.
We live in a beautiful area in the Northwestern part of New Mexico. We are within an hour or two of some of the most distinctive geography in our country. About Animal Haven Clinic
We are an AAHA accredited hospital in Northwestern New Mexico. We are a mixed animal practice seeing 80% small animal and the rest equine and livestock. We have 3-4 veterinarians in our practice and with a total of 17-20 employees. We have a new owner as of three years ago but the prior owner still works with us, sharing her over 35 years of knowledge and mentorship skills. We offer the usual amenities- like in house lab, dental and digital radiographs and ultrasound. We also off and IRA with matching funds, malpractice, liability and health insurance.
