Want to work in a brand-new clinic, for a very well-established practice? Want to work for a privately owned practice where the owners are dedicated to maintaining a healthy work-life balance for all employees? Want to work for owners who stand behind you and work hard to prevent burnout, even at the expense of their bottom line? Well, then you’ve found your new home. Come join us!
We’re looking for a Veterinarian with a love of surgery for a per-diem (one day per week) position at our exciting brand new facility. At the core of our practical philosophy is that as a veterinarian, you should be allowed to “play to your strengths”, and to pursue specifically the aspects of medicine that you’re most passionate about. We understand that not everyone loves wellness visits or urgent care. Similarly, not everyone loves surgery. That’s OK!
We are of the strong conviction that a veterinary practice can and should provide an environment that allows staff to challenge themselves to grow in the area(s) of medicine that they most enjoy. We understand that as a group, veterinarians often have a drive to be good at everything, but that sometimes this drive can also be an underlying cause of feelings of burnout and decreased job satisfaction. For these reasons, we have decided to try out a new position in our clinic and to fill a growing need in our growing practice as well as to effect a positive change onto an existing veterinary model.
We just moved into our BRAND NEW custom-built clinic! We are looking to add an additional veterinarian specifically for general surgery one day per week so that we can continue to grow and update our practice while providing the high level of attentiveness to which our clients are accustomed. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience and enjoy general surgery. We’re talking spays, neuters, lumps, occasional cystotomies, etc. We leave the orthopedic stuff (and anything else that requires overnight hospitalization) to the specialists. We can be flexible with the right candidate and can structure the position around the right person. Come do what you love!
Our clinic was founded in the early 1960's by Dr. William Putnam. In 2011 Dr. Nick DuLong and his wife, Shira took over the clinic and are only the third owners of this beloved clinic in its 60 year history, and continue to run it as a family-owned business. Many of our clients have been coming to us for generations. Our client base is well-established, loyal, and appreciative members of the Shrewsbury and surrounding communities.
We don't have a busy website or much of social media presence though we will be expanding these areas in the near future. If you’re intrigued, reach out to us so we can start the conversation!
