Fairfield Equine seeks an enthusiastic veterinarian with an interest in diagnostic imaging to join our team for a one-year Equine Diagnostic Imaging Fellowship. The ideal candidate has completed a rotating internship at an equine practice and is looking to develop their imaging skills to enter advanced residency training or sports medicine private practice. Fairfield Equine Associates is a multiple-veterinarian equine sports medicine practice and referral hospital offering cutting edge diagnostic tools (including Hallmarq Standing 0.3T MRI and nuclear scintigraphy) and treatment options (including PRP, ProStride, stem cells, Class IV regenerative laser, shockwave, and Functional Electric Stimulation (FES)).
The role of the Diagnostic Imaging Fellow is to run MRI and Nuclear Scintigraphy, assist with all other in-house imaging and lameness workups, and help mentor interns on proper radiograph and ultrasound technique. The fellow will be expected to cover emergency duty one day per week and one weekend per month and assist with anesthesia coverage. There is the opportunity for the fellow to gain experience in other aspects of equine medicine if desired.
Candidates will participate in weekly journal club in addition to monthly rounds with a board- certified radiologist.
