Director for the Professional DVM Program in Veterinary Medicine
The Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences Department (VBSD) at South Dakota State University invites applications for a Director of the Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine (PPVM) within the VBSD. This position will establish, maintain, and develop the joint South Dakota State University/University of Minnesota PPVM. The program leads to the DVM Degree (focus on Rural Health) between South Dakota State University and the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine (UMN CVM). This program started in the fall of 2021 with its first cohort of 20 students. The second cohort of 20 students will enter in the fall of 2022 for a cohort of 40 veterinary students within the first and second years of an accredited veterinary curriculum whose outcomes are aligned with the UMN CVM
