Elite Equine Veterinary Services is Southern Colorado’s premiere equine sports medicine practice, located in Penrose, Colorado. We are seeking a fourth veterinarian to join our team as an Associate Veterinarian. EEVS is a growing practice with three veterinarians and ample support staff. We serve clients in four states through mobile services, a new clinic, and state-of-the-art equine rehabilitation facility. While our focus is sports medicine, we take care of our clients needs to include breeding, emergency, ambulatory care, and general health & wellness.
Since 2013, Elite Equine has provided the highest quality lameness and sports medicine in southern Colorado. As the practice has grown, it now includes clients in surrounding states including Kansas, Texas, Nebraska, Wyoming, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. We service mostly performance horses with our patients being primarily western performance horses, including many world champions, and as the practice continues to grow, we also see a variety of show and english sport horses as well.
We are proud to host the region’s premier veterinary & rehab facility, in our new state-of-the-art facility. Some of our offerings include equine NeedleView arthroscopy, endoscopy, chiropractic, pre-purchase exams, dental care with Powerfloat, and reproductive services to our mare owners. EEVS specializes in detailed lameness exams and improved treatment options especially as it relates to performance /sport horses. Each veterinarian has their own digital radiograph & digital ultrasound equipment for their use. We offer a multitude of regenerative therapies to include IRAP, Spryng, A2M, RenoVo, Regenaflex, Strydaflex, Stem Cell, shockwave, therapeutic laser, and therapeutic ultrasound. The new facility boasts a covered jog strip, new stalls, in-house reference quality hematology laboratory with same day results. Additionally, the newest rehabilitation offerings include a free flow horse exerciser, the ECB Equine Spa, a cold salt hydrotherapy option, and the ECB equine aqua treadmill.
Our location is centrally located, and we travel in all directions to provide services to our clients. In addition to allowing us to provide quality veterinary care to a large population, the central location also allows us to enjoy all Colorado has to offer. Outdoor recreation is at our fingertips with most activities within a short drive from our home base. With our practice schedule, balancing personal and professional life is easily obtainable.
Our new associate will initially be provided with a competitive salary, paid vacation, CE, state license fee, liability insurance and moving expense allowance. Additional benefits will be added with increasing length of employment.
