Since 2001, Rude Ranch Animal Rescue (RRAR; ruderanch.org), a nationally recognized 501(c)3 nonprofit, has been serving the Washington, DC – Annapolis – Baltimore metropolitan area to provide sanctuary and care to abandoned, abused, and special needs animals.  In 2012, RRAR opened its high-volume, low-cost spay/neuter clinic, Spay Spa & Neuter Nook (SSNN; spayspa.org), to help reduce animal suffering, overpopulation, and euthanasia.  RRAR/SSNN has found adoptive homes for over 5000 animals, facilitated the veterinary care and placement for 10,000 more, established partnerships with over 125 shelters and rescues, performed almost 45,000 spay/neuter
