Come be the doctor you knew you could be. Full-time is 4 days per week and 1-2 Saturdays a month (4 hours).
Part-time can be 2-3 days per week if that is what you are looking for. Although eventually we would need more than one person in a part-time role :)
Managing medical cases with a wonderful clientele while working alongside some of the best nursing and support staff you will ever have outside the university!
Caseload is varied and manageable, challenging and rewarding.
There will be at least one surgery/procedure day per week (being full-time) for you to address those needs, sometimes with oral care procedures under anesthesia as well.
If you are a new or recent graduate, we will provide as much or as little mentorship as you need along the way, adjusting your caseload as necessary.
We want you to be successful and grow along with us, and for each candidate that will look differently.
So basically, you bring:
* good client communication skills
* incredible work ethic
* ability to manage medical cases with the team
* good basic surgical and dental care skills, all of which can ge improved and honed with mentorship if needed
* an interest in exotic animal care if possible, but not necessary for this position
* skills needed to work with an amazing team! Our support staff is essential to the success of our business
* the desire to learn and grow to be the best doctor you can!
Requirements
All levels of veterinary experience are encouraged to apply!
Graduated from an AVMA-approved school and a DVM license to practice.
License to practice in New Mexico or eligible to sit for the license.
If graduated from a non-AVMA approved school, then must have passed BOTH the NAVLE and CPE with full ability to practice in NM.
