Description
Associate Veterinarian – Prairie State Veterinary Clinic | Orland Park, IL
If you're looking for a hospital where collaboration is more than just a buzzword, Prairie State Veterinary Clinic may be exactly what you've been searching for. With us, you’ll be able to practice exceptional medicine with people who truly love what they do.
Located in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, our thriving small animal practice has earned the trust of families throughout Orland Park, Tinley Park, Palos Heights, Homer Glen, Frankfort, Mokena, and beyond by delivering exceptional medicine with genuine compassion. We're looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our team - and become part of a culture where doctors and support staff genuinely enjoy working together.
Meet Your Future Team
One of the things that makes Prairie State special is our people.
You'll work alongside Medical Director Dr. Lauren Tassone, an approachable, collaborative leader who is passionate about creating a positive workplace where veterinarians can practice great medicine while continuing to grow professionally. Whether you're looking for mentorship or simply enjoy bouncing ideas off experienced colleagues, Dr. Tassone believes the best patient care comes from working together.
You'll also have the unique opportunity to collaborate with Dr. Frank Norton, a board-certified internal medicine specialist, whose expertise brings advanced case management and learning opportunities right into the hospital. Having an internist in the practice creates an incredible environment for discussing complex cases, expanding your medical knowledge, and elevating patient care every day.
Together with our experienced veterinary team, you'll never feel like you're practicing medicine alone.
A Support Team That Makes Every Day Better
Ask anyone who works here what they love most, and they'll probably tell you it's the people.
Our technicians, assistants, and client service representatives are experienced, compassionate, and incredibly collaborative. Several members of our team have been with Prairie State for more than 20 years, creating a level of trust, efficiency, and teamwork that's hard to find.
This is a team that jumps in to help one another, celebrates wins together, enjoys having fun throughout the day, and truly values every person's contribution. We believe veterinary medicine should be rewarding - and that starts with creating an environment where people enjoy coming to work.
Our team also loves giving back, actively supporting local schools, community organizations, and animal-focused nonprofits throughout the Orland Park area.
About You
You're passionate about practicing high-quality small animal medicine and value working with people who support one another.
Whether you're an experienced veterinarian looking for a collaborative, low-ego environment or a new graduate searching for exceptional mentorship, you'll find opportunities here to build your confidence, develop your skills, and create lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
You enjoy collaborating on cases, communicating with clients, and continually learning alongside a team that genuinely wants everyone to succeed.
